In time for the US Open coming up in August, Nike presents the new Match Classic Premium. In its latest transformation, the shoe is elevated with premium leather and distinct black hits in the laces and inner collar, complemented with a classic white midsole. The sneaker will drop in two colorways September 2011.

This week SneakersAddict.com threw up a questionable first look at Kanye West’s new Air Yeezy 2. As we’ve seen the shoe hit the Internet in dribs and drabs, no real solid information has come to hand until now. While most will want to believe this is an actual picture of the new Yeezy, some still remain skeptical as to whether this is indeed a photoshop image. What do you think? Tinker Hatfield X Designer of NIKE’S Most Popular and Innovative Shoe Designs
If you don’t know this guy’s name, you probably didn’t grow up with as much fascination for the art and design of Nike footwear as I did. Tinker Hatfield is the renowned designer of many of Nike’s most popular and innovative shoe designs, including the Air Jordan III through Air Jordan XV and other sneakers including the world’s first “cross training” shoes, the Nike Air Trainer.
An all-star athlete at college, Hatfield went on to study architecture at the University of Oregon before joining Nike in 1981 and in 1985 started working on shoe design. His moment came when he realized that his architectural skills could also be applied to athletic shoes.
